Killdeer Mountain Four Bears Scenic Byway ~
64 miles of unique and enchanting landscape beginning/ending @ Manning and New Town. 
Voted 8th in the 'Top Ten Legendary Places to 
Relax'.

Lake Ilo National Wildlife Refuge ~ Opportunities exist 
to view many species of wildlife including 226 types of birds. 

Dunn County Museum, Dunn Center ~ Showcasing the 
rich history of the American West.

Medicine Hole ~ Hike the challenging, nearly-a-mile 
trail to the mysterious opening on top of the Killdeer Mountains. 

Killdeer Battlefield State Historic Site ~ The location where a battle was fought between General Sully and 
his troops against the Sioux in 1864. 

Killdeer Mountain Wildlife Management Area ~ 7,050 
acres is home to many species, including mule deer, 
white tail deer, turkey and elk.

Gap Road Loop ~ Breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. This road leads to the wildlife management area.

Knife River Flint Quarries ~ Where Native Americans harvested flint. Please call the Lynch family to tour the area (701) 548-8175, located east of Dunn Center.

Hutmacher Farm Site ~ Restoration is in progress to preserve the farm site constructed in the traditional architectural form origination from the Black Sea 
Region of Russia and the Ukraine.

Little Missouri State Park ~ Enjoy the spectacular 
scenery with over 30 miles of hiking and horseback 
riding trails.
