Local educational options engage students through adulthood

The newly constructed Killdeer Public Schools provide a wide range of academic challenges, extracurricular activities, and sports options for students to grow and excel in the classroom and beyond. From an active FFA chapter to Robotics, Science Olympiad, and Hosa-Future Health Professionals to basketball, football, volleyball, wrestling, cross country, and golf – there are activities for every student.

Regional partnerships power the curriculum offered at the Southwest Area Career & Technical Education Academy in Dickinson. Through the diverse programs of study offered by the academy, local students can graduate high school with essential career skills and speciality industry knowledge in career clusters like agriculture, food and natural resources, health sciences, business management and administration, finance, hospital and tourism, human services, information technology, public safety, manufacturing, distribution and logistics, and technology. Many courses pursued through the Academy also provide dual credit opportunities for students who plan to complete additional coursework after secondary school. 

Located within daily commuting distance of Dunn County, Dickinson State University is a dual-mission university, combining a slate of Bachelor's degree programs with continuing education courses, certifications, associate degrees and graduate degrees. The diversity of offerings offers the flexibility required to develop a strong, local workforce.
